Rule 49
Regarding posting of Staff Officers/Military Supervisory Officers

(1) Staff Officers/Military Supervisory Officers on deputation shall be nominated on the following basis:-
(a) Staff college trained and non staff college trained officers shall be maintained separately according to seniority,
(b) Officers of other trades according to their seniority in their respective trades,
(c) According to the order of seniority of the qualified officers according to the job descriptions and qualifications mentioned in the United Nations standards,
(d) Impunity for human rights violations,
(e) on conviction by any Court, the period of conviction has been served,
(f) Having the ability to work in an international environment (G) Able to speak and write English language well. But priority can be given to military personnel who are about to reach retirement age.
(2) Selection will be made based on qualifications and criteria specified by the United Nations Headquarters.
(3) There will be a committee in the Nepali Army as provided in the procedure to select staff officers and military supervisors. In addition to the criteria mentioned in sub-rule (1), the committee will select the person keeping in mind the efficiency, efficiency, honesty, ethics, loyalty, contribution to the organization and the nation.
(4) The percentage of staff college trained, non-staff college trained and other trained officers will be determined in accordance with the procedure.
(5) According to sub-rule (3), the names of the selected candidates should be sent to the Ministry by the Nepali Army. The Ministry will have to make nominations after seeing whether the specified criteria are fulfilled or not.
